As I’m sure happens with all first editions, a typo has crept in, and it’s right at the start on Page 5. Only the books sold at The Guitar Show 2016 are affected. It has been fixed for all future book sales.
On the ‘Across the Fretboard’ diagram, the second root note (on the D string) should be one fret higher as shown here:
